What is the American Dream to you?

To Diana and Linda Morales and Karla Hernandez, the American Dream is simple: to become licensed and successful cosmetologists.

Diana and Linda (sisters) along with their cousin Karla are Advanced Cosmetology students at Mason Anthony School of Cosmetology. They began this journey together almost a year ago, and they can’t imagine it any other way.

These three young women came to the United States in their early childhood from Mexico. Experiencing a major change at such a young age had a way of bringing them all even closer together.

“It has always been very important to go after our goals together. Through everything, family is always the most important to us. Everything is more enjoyable when we are together, and once we graduate school we plan to open our own business together and continue our passion.” -Diana Morales

For as long as they can remember, their goal was to find success in the beauty industry. After completing high and joining Mason Anthony, the close-knit trio became the first in their family to continue their education past high school. They have let their passions lead the way, but they are more than just passionate – They are talented.

The dream team works continuously at improving their skills in hair, makeup, and nails. They have branded themselves as “Hermora Beauty” which is a combination of their last names Morales and Hernandez. This is the name behind their Instagram in which they share some of their best work. 

Chasing the American dream has not always been easy for Diana, Linda, and Karla; But having your family by your side makes the journey that much more enjoyable.
